Fetita and Flowers

I love this picture. That little face is so happy.

Sitting in the weed flowers. Not weed, the flowers that are weeds.

They kind of look like mint, but sadly, they are not.

Violets and dandielions and a little girl.

Happy Spring!

Food, Flowers, and Fun

Some meat and cheese things I made.

Black tea with creamer and cookies.

Pancakes!

Boxing.

Watching Jacob box.

Taliya stuffing her face with a manderin.

Scary cool boxer dad.

Some not very good oranges we got for free.

The smelly tree.

Black is my favorite kind of jelly bean. I've always wanted a bag of only black, and I found such a thing at Walmart.

Sometimes the light coming through the bathroom and shining behind the curtain makes things look so nice.

Also in the kitchen.

Taliya's weird face.

No worries, Mom, she doesn't really drink soda.

Dinner. I know that greenish slop doesn't look very good, but it actually was quite tasty.

Little breads for the soup.

Smily.

Some pretty little yellow flowers.

Some weeds by the Greasy Ditch (that's actually what it's called, at least according to Google Maps).

Taliya looking looney.

Grits and Spanish bakery bread.

The Mustache

Yesterday Jacob cleaned shaved his face (which he never does) but left the mustache.

I thought he looked kind of wow. Super handsome.

Before. He always looks so good.

After. I said he looked like a hot cop from the 90's. Haha!
He shaved it all off later because he was too embarrassed to go to work like that.

This guy melts my heart. I love him so much, and I think every day he just looks better and better. People say you don't look as good when you're old, which in some ways is true. However, I think a wife and husband just grow more and more fond of each other as the years go by.

New Furniture Arrangements

I felt like my mom a couple weeks ago when I decided I really wanted to rearrange the living room. Jacob has also made a new piece of furniture that needed to be better incorperated into the room. Jacob and I both really like the new setup. Of course, you probably don't care and probably don't even remember what it used to be like.

Jacob

Putting on his shoes next to his new creation.

I decided I might as well find you a picture of how it used to be. That's when Jacob was building the cool shelf/bench/table.

This is how it is now (well, currently, it is even messier than it was in the picture).

Taliya has such a good and big smile.

She really loves a good snack of cardboard.

My mom used to call me the Smiley Suroo (not sure how that's actually spelled), and now I think Taliya is, too.

I love to be doing something in the kitchen or whatever and look over to see a little girl meandering her way about the house.

She loves looking out the window. The couch is now by the window facing the warehouse where the big trucks come and go.

There you have it.

Football and Flowers

I don't care that our front yard is more weeds than grass. I am just glad there is green instead of dirt like the back yard. Besides, I love all the little flowers.

I love when days are warm enough for Taliya to play outside barefoot in the sunshine. Lately it has been colder though. I really look forward to actual spring and summer.

What a cutie!

March's Art Project

Or, finally finishing February's art project.

I've been working on the "Fam Dab" for years. In the summer of 2018, I worked with Jonathan and Courtney (who ended up getting married a few years later), and we somehow or another (there is debate about this) began the fam dab. Whenever we saw each other, we'd dab and say, "Fam!" Yeah, stupid weird camp counselor stuff.

Anyway, our friend Anthony took a picture of us doing the dab with his Poleroid camera, and I've been working on drawing it ever since.

Courtney, me, and Jonathan.

(I feel bad about Courtney because I drew her first, and that was years ago, so my drawing seems to have improved some since then. Oh, well.)

Good times. Good memories.

Folks,

What about this cold weather?! Burrrr....yeesh! It's too cold out there for me. Manalive! And it's mid march. It seems like the half of February was warmer than the half of March.

Well, it is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't. That's the truth.

Yep. This is me in our dark, dank house right now.

Old Pictures

I don't know what it is about old pictures. I just like looking back to what life was like back then, remembering the good times and also being so thankful for what I have now. Also, I guess I like the pictures I have that Dad took because they are better than my phone pictures. Haha! But it's true. I like to look at old good quality pictures and reminisce.

So, here are just 6 pictures (not too many too bore you) of times gone by.

Family picture. All those barefeet (Jacob, don't you love it!?).

Banana grams. (I probably wanted to play because it reminded me of my old pal who used to play all the time with me but had moved away. : ( Sad times, but it turned out OK because old pal became my best friend and then husby.)

Sometimes Quinny and my own baby kind of look alike. I guess that's cousins for you.

I love this picture, not because of my chubby pregnant face, but because of Jacob's big wonderful smile. He melts my heart.

A table full of people eating food.

Well, that's it for now, folks.

Adios!
