Cheerios and Chicken Sandwiches

People want to know what I crave as a pregnant woman. Nothing really too interesting. Actually, it's less about what I crave and more about what I can actually get down my gullet. Apparently, I'm regressing back to childhood: Cheerios and milk are about the best thing in the world.

One week I really wanted a McChicken sandwich. Sounds delicious, huh? A weird chicken patty, some soggy shredded iceberg lettuce, and a smudge of mayonnaise. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cold bananas are quite tasty.

Cold bagels with cold butter is a real delicacy.

Yep. I do realize that was a lot of carbs. I do eat other foods because I know I need them. These are just my favorites.

The Wonder

The wonder of being a mother.

I had my first doctor's appointment last week. They did an ultrasound, and it was so amazing to see my little child inside of me and then to hear the heart beat! Wow. The nurse was talking to me, but I couldn't reply because I would start crying if I did. It was one of the most amazing things I've seen.

God is so awesome and kind and perfect. We feel very blessed.

Sky

Jacob sent me this picture one day while he was working. He gets to some might nice places.

This was the sunrise one morning after I dropped Jacob off at work. It was so brilliant.

I thought the reflection in this big puddle was pretty cool.

Sky is nice.

Happy Sunday!

30

It's Gabriel's Birthday. He's 30. He's getting old. Boy, all the kids in my family seem to be getting up there in age. To think, the youngest person will be 17 this year! Oh, man, we're a dying family. Haha! Just kidding, just a little drama, you know.

My Hero

My hero knew how to laugh in pain and suffering. I've been having it rough lately because I'm pregnant!
Yep. Pretty exciting, but I've been pretty sick. Sometimes it's really hard to be happy when I feel so gross. However, I often think of my hero, Micah, who felt so bad so often for 4 years of his life. He still joked, laughed, and had fun. Not always, of course. Even he had really bad days, but I look at this picture and notice his yellow skin, his scrawny legs, his vibrator, and...his smile. I want to learn from his example and be more excited about life even when I feel like a dump.

I Forgot

Oh, yeah! Yesterday I forgot that two people in our family had a Birthday. Jesse turned 35, and Bethany turned 23. I hope they had good birthdays. Bethany has a broken wrist, and she had to go to the doctor about it yesterday, so I'm sure she's just glowing with enthusiasm. Who knows what Jesse was up to. Obviously, I'm not with either one of them, so.... Yep, birthdays are a little different than they used to be. I mean, at home we do pretty much the same stuff we always did (eat pizza, ice cream and cake, and open presents), but it's just with a lot fewer people.

Boy! I'm getting hungry again. Better go get something to eat.

On Sunday I made some chicken noodle soup because I thought it would be good for Jacob's cold (that I am getting now...woop-woop!), and there is some leftover that might be a good idea for me right now.

Adios!

P.S. I feel like a 12 year-old or 10 year-old right now.

Jesse has been blessed with very attractive physical features (like all of our brothers), but he is already taken.

Bethany is also very good looking.

Cold chicken noodle soup may sound very not good to the average person, but it really hits the spot for me.

Flowers From October I Think

Livin' the Life

It's Sunday afternoon. I'm listening to Michael W Smith singing "Rise," which is a newer song of his that I just found out about and like a lot.

Jacob's watching football in the other room.

It's been a peaceful day. Jacob is sick, so we decided to not go to church. We just listened to it at home and took it slow and easy. I think it is good for Jacob to have a day like this because he works so much.

We played Bananagrams (yes, the infamous game that I have made numerous posts about). I won! I may or may not have leapt up from the floor and squealed. Jacob is so good at that game, so I was pretty happy to win.

I have been listening to old MWS music. His older songs are so great. "The Race is On" is another favorite. I have lots of favorites.

I work at a thrift store 4 days a week. It's getting me tired. I might have to go down to 3 days, but we'll see. I am sick of stuff now. Haha! Seriously, people "donate" garbage that we get to put in the trash compactor for them. Sometimes I find it humorous, but sometimes it's just gross.

Yep. I'm livin' the life. Tired and sick half the time these days, but I got a good man, an amazing God, and so many more blessings.

Hands Are Too Small

I guess my hands suddenly got too small with the change of weather and stuff because my rings started to fall off. I lost my engagement ring. It is really quite gone.

Oh, well.

My wedding ring kept trying to come off, too, so we got some super cheap rings that are tight enough. The ugly ring is there just to hold my wedding ring on. It seems to work.

Stuff

Just some random phone pictures for your enjoyment or boredom, whichever suits you best.

Lydia gave me chocolate, which was really nice because I was about to think I would just have to go without chocolate for a while. Now I can still dip chocolate in tea. Also, sometimes I actually don't put milk in my tea.

Some of my favorites are these little chocolate balls with chewy fruit flavored things inside.

That was the sunset last night.

That's my husband cookin' breakfast on Sunday mornin'.

I was makin' tortillas one day. We have discovered that we really like homemade tortillas.

Reflection shadows

Powerlines and sunset. I was running (literally) home from the bank one evening because I was late for something, but I still really liked this view.

I think we look a little strange in this picture. Now sure what's goin' on.

Wow! back when Jacob had hair. Yep. I cut his hair on Sunday, and boy, it is something.

Sittin' high up in the trees is very nice.

I still love doing laundry, except when the dryers don't work. Oh, well.

And I usually do put milk in my tea.

Last night was a devastation moment for us, especially me because it was my fault. The beans had spoiled. They were rotten. I had left them out all the night before, and they grew mold. Such a disappointment because they were such amazing beans. I seriously don't feel like eating beans for a little bit. Maybe we'll eat spaghetti tonight. I don't know.
The wonderful life of a young wife.

Anyway, life really is wonderful. I have a job now. I work at a thrift store. I just realized I need to update the "Person" page.

Can't Believe It

Sometimes I look into his eyes and remember he's mine for life,
and I can't believe that we're actually married.

It's amazing!

The Wedding

Our sister-in-law took our wedding pictures for us, and they are great. We're pretty grateful for her help in that area. Hope you enjoy a sample of our wedding.

They're kind of random and mixed up. Oh, well.

What a dapper dude!

Melts my heart. I love this man so much.

What a happy day!

We are clearly missing some of the kids. That's ok.

Crackers, cheese, pepperoni, and fruit. Don't get much better than that.

I made the cake, and I'm glad there's a butterfly in there.

Gotta love arm wrestling.

Woof! The dancing went on and on.

What a good but long day.
