About Time for Some More Flowers

My flower pictures have been growing, so it's time to post a bunch. Sorry for the boredom. I love flowers.

Knoxville

We took a weekend trip to Knoxville a few weeks ago. We just got back from New Jersey yesterday, but I haven't loaded those pictures on yet.

We played disc golf with Jacob's brother Josh and niece Jazzy.

One morning Taliya and I took a long walk so that Jacob could sleep.

Then Taliya also fell alseep.

We took a walk in the woods.

There was a pretty creek.

We hung out at Elijah and Sadie's house.

It was fun.

New Glasses

After three and a half years, I finally got new glasses. My prescription hadn't really changed, but my old glasses were so scratched up, I was having a hard time seeing out of them. 

Can you tell which ones are new?

This place is a dumpy mess, but the sun is shining in, and the trees are hangers for a million emeralds.

Getting Out of The City

Last Saturday we took a little day trip out of the city. It wasn't that far away, but it was far enough to feel very refreshed. Neither of us had realized how much we needed to get away from all the hustle and bustle around here. We went southwest a little ways to a park and small town I found. 

The Park

Taliya playing happily after we climbed the steep hill. The park is where a Civil war fort used to be. 

When I was younger and living in my parents' home, I wouldn't have thought this was all that great, just a bunch of trees. We could have walked in our own woods. But, now that I live in the city, this was amazing. 

There was a little bit of a view to the Ohio River and little town below. 

That's where we went later. 

I don't know if these bulidings sank into the ground over time or what, but they were very short, especially this first one. 

There wasn't much to see inside. 

The big mounds or dirt walls were a part of the fort. 

Look at how tiny that door is, and Jacob isn't exactly a huge man. 

She looks so cute back there.

Below the hill was this huge cliff. It was so neat to stand under it. 

I'm so tiny. 

We walked by the Salt River, very close to where it flows into the Ohio. 

The Little Town

We began our adventure in West Point by eating our picnic dinner by the Ohio River. 

This is a weird picture, but I thought our sandwiches were so good. 

This was a our view. 

Then we began walking all over the little town. There were a lot of old buildings. 

The bank was so quaint. 

Many buildings needed some serious work, but I still appreciated how they must have looked in the past. I love double porches. 

I'm not sure if this place is really in working order, but it sure is pretty. 

Taliya enjoyed the ride through the small town streets. I had to take a picture because her pretty blue eyes pearing back at me were too precious. 

It felt so nice to be in such a small and much more quiet town. There were people hanging out having family get togethers, people taking walks, even a kid in a back yard pool. Just so homey and peacefull. it made me kind of miss it, and I didn't want to leave. 

I loved all the old houses, even if most of them were in disrepair. 

This one is so unique. 

Well, that's all for now, folks. We decided we should try to get out more because it doesn't even take that long to get to several parks around here.
