Random Happenings

Fall has come. It is very cold today, 46 degrees. According to Accuweather, it's 80 degrees in NC! I've always said NC has the best weather, but you can't always have the best weather. Kentucky is home for now. That's one of those things you have to learn as you get older: you just have to make wherever you're living your home instead of wishing you were anywhere else. The fact is that Louisville isn't so bad. 

Anyway, I guess I have a pile of pictures here for your enjoyment.

We went to Knoxville a couple weekends ago. We watched the Alabama/Tennessee game with Jacob's brothers.

Our Anniversary and It's a...

BOY!!!

Yep, today is our second anniversary, and today we found out we're having a boy.

It's a cloudy, cold day here in Louisville (low 50's), which is very different than the sunny, blue skies and warm weather in North carolina the day we were married. But, today we're more in love than we were back then, and we have two blessings added to our lives. 

I'm happy. 

Micah William is due December 31st. 

Maybe I'll get some cute pictures of us today. : )

The Creek

We went to the creek again, hoping to get one last swim before it got too cold.

I enjoyed taking pictures of Taliya and the surrounding beauty. 

I love fresh, natural water so much.

October

I think October officially brings in fall. People get into all the sweaters and boots and pumpkin in August it seems, but back where I come from, September still felt pretty summery. It has actually been pretty warm the past few days, and I don't mind that at all. However, a look at the weather forecast suggests that it's gonna get cold real quick, which I am not really looking forward to. 

Anyway, I guess there are elements of fall that even the most summer-loving person can enjoy. Candles and baking bring warmth and coziness to the house. If you have what it takes, you might even start having fires in your living room fire place. You can see all the pretty leaves changing colors of bright orange, red, purple, yellow, and gold. You can drink hot chocolate and hot tea to stay warm. You can even appreciate the cooler weather, if you work really hard to have a good attitude.

So, this fall, instead of moping around about winter coming, try to find the joy in every cozy moment. 🙄

I picked a bunch of zinnias from the house and brought them home. They add so much cheer.
