Gettin' Cozy

It's starting to get a little chilly around these parts, which is always sad because I love hot summer so much. However, I am trying to enjoy the season this year, and I think that having a cuddly, warm baby will help make things better.

She's wearing long sleeves finally.

Fresh, homemade bread is so delicious.

I have to wrap her up more these days, but it's kind of fun.

Another sunset

The neighborhood hang out.

She looks cute in her warm clothes.

These pictures must have gotten all mixed up when I loaded them on.

When I eventually get the hang of how to draw Bugs Bunny, I plan to make a shirt like this for Taliya.

Some cuteness right there! ❤

Moving

A little over 2 years ago, Jacob asked me to date him. The way he put it was that he wanted to risk being more than just friends. Boy, was I happy when he asked me that! And I'll never regret taking that risk. Though we've been through some rough stuff together, life has been so much better living it with Jacob. He's the best man for me, and he really is my best friend for life.

We've been on many adventures together, and the biggest upcoming adventure is MOVING! Yep, it looks as though our time here in Knoxville is coming to a close pretty soon. We have a place to rent in Louisville, KY where Jacob will plan to begin classes at a Christian school in the spring semester. It's exciting along with a little bit of scary. Whenever some big change in life happens, I always feel a little on edge. I get excited but also wonder if it will really be as good as it sounds. But, God always uses each place and season in life to help me grow in Him and maturity.

So, yay! I'm ready for another adventure with my love and our new little girl.

Livin' the Good Life

I have a good life. Sometimes it's rough dealing with a grumpy, very hard to please baby, but I see how much God has blessed me. I am living my dream: loving my own husband and daughter and learning to care for them more and more. They are both blessings I don't take for granted. There were several times in my singlehood when I wondered if I'd ever get married and have a family, but here I am married and mothering. It's tiring for sure sometimes. I'm glad I have Jacob to encourage and support me. He's a great husband.

Her cuteness makes up for her whinyness.

Sometimes she sleeps in such strange possitions.

She likes to look at the Broncos bronco on my shirt.

A kind lady from church gave me this dress. It's longer than I'm acustomed to, but it's nice.

I thought this was so cute how she had her head resting on her hands like that.

Last Sunday they served ice cream after church, so we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine.

Taliya stretching after a nap; it's so cute.

That was the day she turned two months.

Another sunset.

It's weird standing so close to the highway. Yesterday the two of us had to hang out while the car got checked out.

I got Asian store ramen noodle soup. It was good, but maybe I like American kind better. Haha!

Hives, Sweater, Daddy and Daughter

I got the hives last week. It was awful. I hate hives. My whole body was nearly covered in them, and I was so itchy that I felt sick to my stomach sometimes. I've never had them before. Maybe it's one of those weird post-partem things.

I have been working on a sweater for Taliya, but it was taking too long. So I started another one and finished it in two days. Just a difference in yarn and stitch size.

I love taking pictures of Jacob and Taliya. Jacob is a good dad and has a lot of fun with her.

No one needs to see any pictures of my hives. Just imagine horrible, raised, red skin that itches like all get out. Ick.

It turned out kind of big and stiff. Hopefully it will work well in the winter.

Sometimes we read the Bible to Taliya. Sometimes it helps calm her down.

Jacob loves the nice rocking chair Mom gave us. Taliya loves lying across his knees. That's another calming strategy we have.

That was probably after a bath, and Jacob was snuggling her to warm her up.

I think they're both kind of looking at me, wondering why I'm taking pictures of them.

She loves standing.

Summer

I really love summer, and I get a little sad when fall comes. So, I decided to go outside with my phone some days to take summery pictures. Also, I wanted to have a remembrance of this place we live in now because we are planning to be moving soon.

Enjoy this summery place we live.

I love being able to go outside without a jacket or any shoes, just walk out the door. I love summer evenings.

Hanging out at the beach. Haha! The volley ball court, that is.

Power lines and their holders are cool.

Mimosa branches in the sunset look like tropical places.

Taliya is generally happier outside.

This is something I wanted to keep for remembrance sake. Haha! I know, a field of kutzoo. Wonderful, huh?

I also wanted a keepsake of this Doctor Seuss tree. Haha! That's what it looks like to me.

Another late summer evening with the little girl.

That sky is so cool. It reminds me of Psalm 19. The heavens really do declare the glory of God.

Kutzoo flowers. Did you know that you can make jelly out of these flowers? So, obviously, kutzoo must be good. Not.
From observation, I found out that stink bugs love this stuff, so every time I walk by it I smell so much stink bug stink.

✌❤👀
