Cheerios and Chicken Sandwiches

People want to know what I crave as a pregnant woman. Nothing really too interesting. Actually, it's less about what I crave and more about what I can actually get down my gullet. Apparently, I'm regressing back to childhood: Cheerios and milk are about the best thing in the world.

One week I really wanted a McChicken sandwich. Sounds delicious, huh? A weird chicken patty, some soggy shredded iceberg lettuce, and a smudge of mayonnaise. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cold bananas are quite tasty.

Cold bagels with cold butter is a real delicacy.

Yep. I do realize that was a lot of carbs. I do eat other foods because I know I need them. These are just my favorites.

The Wonder

The wonder of being a mother.

I had my first doctor's appointment last week. They did an ultrasound, and it was so amazing to see my little child inside of me and then to hear the heart beat! Wow. The nurse was talking to me, but I couldn't reply because I would start crying if I did. It was one of the most amazing things I've seen.

God is so awesome and kind and perfect. We feel very blessed.

Sky

Jacob sent me this picture one day while he was working. He gets to some might nice places.

This was the sunrise one morning after I dropped Jacob off at work. It was so brilliant.

I thought the reflection in this big puddle was pretty cool.

Sky is nice.

Happy Sunday!

30

It's Gabriel's Birthday. He's 30. He's getting old. Boy, all the kids in my family seem to be getting up there in age. To think, the youngest person will be 17 this year! Oh, man, we're a dying family. Haha! Just kidding, just a little drama, you know.

My Hero

My hero knew how to laugh in pain and suffering. I've been having it rough lately because I'm pregnant!
Yep. Pretty exciting, but I've been pretty sick. Sometimes it's really hard to be happy when I feel so gross. However, I often think of my hero, Micah, who felt so bad so often for 4 years of his life. He still joked, laughed, and had fun. Not always, of course. Even he had really bad days, but I look at this picture and notice his yellow skin, his scrawny legs, his vibrator, and...his smile. I want to learn from his example and be more excited about life even when I feel like a dump.
