October Beauty

It's October, folks. I don't know what your area of the world is like this time of year, but it's kind of brownish here. Brown and green, I guess, with some yellow and red spots here and there. It's pretty nice weather-wise. We have finally had some rain in the last week or so. Today is sunny and 66 degrees F in the shade. I had a doctor's appointment this morning. Not super fun. I had my blood drawn. Yike! I do declare, I thought I was going to pass out, but somehow I managed.

I went for a walk yesterday afternoon and took 82 pictures! Woops! I hadn't brought my camera with me in a while, so I was having fun. It was so beautiful out there. Here are some of them. I deleted some too, haha!

Sometimes when I go for these walks and look around me, I think, "It's too much, just too much, God. It's so beautiful!" Isn't He so gracious to give us all we have?

This walnut tree is really loaded this year.

OK, I have to say, I really like this picture. There was an abundance of little butterflies.

Some red.

Some brown. Haha!

My original goal in bringing my camera was to capture all the October blooms. There are quite a few.

These are adorable little blossoms.

Hiding among the dead corn cobs.

Pink in the brown.

This little guy has seen better days, but he stills shines in the sun.

This big bright beauty was climbing up someone's mailbox.

These two were back home. I love pansies.

I love moss.

The golden rod is getting old, but it's still pretty.

New corn.

Ain't it pretty?

The field on the other side of the farm road is dead.

I love capturing light in the things.

The field may look dead, but it's actually quite full of beauty.

More pink.

It sparkles, too.

There's an eerie kind of wonder in these fields.

Dark and light.

So much gold.

On our way home.

I couldn't resist. I love poplars in fall.

You gotta like the lichen.

I love this place. I love these hills.

Welcome home.

It could be anyone's dream home, but it's mine.

The old train track tiles make for good moss growers.

Wait, did I say I like moss?

The tupelo is looking good.

We'll end here with Miko looking into the old house. Ain't she a beauty?

OK, folks, I am not even bothering with checking this thing over because internet is so slow right now. Therefore, if you come across any spelling mistakes or otherwise, I apologize. This has already taken me about an hour. Whew!

Good day to you!

Sun Fall

I've heard of rain fall and snow fall,
But have we forgotten about sun fall?

The Vulture

From this mountain I see out far and wide
I was born for this beautiful, wild ride.

Beauty has never been in my name
But the game of the flight is my aim.

Oh, Hi!

Lydia doesn't like when I don't post for a while, but, hey, it's been less than a month, so I'd say that's pretty good. I think that was a record amount of commas for one sentence. Also, what y'all don't know, is how crazy my word and letter mix ups can be when I'm writing because I try to correct all the mistakes (at least most of them).

Anyhow, I've been working. Wow! What do you know? What a shocker. I think that's how I start out most of my posts these days. I think that's sort of funny. Work is still good most of the time. I am getting to know my coworkers better each time it seems. Some of them are so funny (in a good way). Today, for example, I worked with an older guy named Earl. It was only my second time working with him I think. I find out how funny he is though. He's very amusing. He's kind of sarcastic and rather bold.

I don't really have anything else to say because it is is nearly 8 o'clock at night, and I'd like to get ready for bed.

Good night!
Also, I'm thinking about doing some kind of post with a series of pictures with captions like this "That is good, but this is better."
For example, this picture would say, "Shoes are nice, but bare feet are better."
