Tea Bag

Also, it snowed again. Folks, I am not a snow lover. I think I have had enough for one year. That's why I thought the south was better, it's not supposed to snow so much. Oh, well, we almost died on the way to work this  morning, or at least almost killed two police men. I'm being dramatic, but it was a bit of a slippery slope, if you get what I mean.

Anyway, a tea bag recently had a photo shoot. This is a boring post, and later I can go back and delete these pictures off my computer. Haha!

I guess that's not exactly a tea bag, but I thought it was a cool picture of brownie icing.

A wilted flower...also not a tea bag.

Wow! What a beauty.

Wow. These pictures are just stunning.

Seriously. I haven't seen anything quite like it.

Just look at that.

Yep. This post has been mind blowing.

Baby Shower Mints, Tuna Salad, and Brownies

This is a baby shower mint (the bag calls it dinner mints, but who eats a dinner of only mints?). Mom had mentioned that when she was pregnant, she really liked them, so I decided to get some. They are soooooooo good.

For some reason I have really been wanting cold tuna salad. When we were kids, I thought this was a special food. We would eat it sometimes on Sunday evenings or other times we needed something quick. I always ate it like this: a piece of bread followed by American cheese, tuna salad, and Texas Pete. Oh, yeah. That was good stuff. I had it on crackers today. It was quite good.

I made some brownies, and they were a hit among all who ate them. It is one of my favorite recipes. I just found it on the internet when I was in college. They're so fudgy and delicious.
You can tell that I like to make these and that they are messy, or I'm just a messy cook. Who knows?

I finished this puzzle last week I think. It was fun. I want to get some more puzzles.

I'm working on a garden in the woods using whatever I can find. There is a pile of rubbish, and I am happy to use these bricks.

This is my best friend. I am very blessed to know him, and he is such a great guy.

A Hotdog?

I know what you were thinking, "You ate a HOTDOG for dinner?" Yep, when I'm pregnant and wasn't feeling too well. You know what, sometimes a woman just wants a hotdog. I'm not condoning them as healthy food, but they taste good and give me calories, so sometimes I can eat that and ice cream if I want to.

Well, I guess that was just a P.S. You have a nice day now.

BYE!!!  ✌

I just found a random old picture of food. This is also probably not the healthiest thing on the menu. However, I do remember these loaded fries being so amazing.

In the Woods

Yesterday was church. We served donuts and coffee before the service. Afterwards, we went to a meeting for "working" people (I think that's kind of a vague category, but whatever). Then we went home, and I gonked out. I was quite tired, but I couldn't really sleep. Then I sat around with Jacob some as he watched football. I said I was gonna go on a walk, and he decided to join me.

It turned out to be much more interesting than I had imagined. Jacob had so much energy. He ran up a tree, and then fell pretty soon because he grabbed a dead branch, threw sticks and stuff at an old pot in the woods, and was generally just having a lot of fun. Once in the woods, he grabbed sticks and had sword fights with everything. I remembered when I used to be a fun, energetic little girl...not so long ago. Oh, well, it gave me joy enough to see my husband so full of fun. He ran so fast ahead of me at one point, which would have made for a fun chase scene, but my fat old body was not feelin' it at that moment.

I ate a hotdog for dinner.

Ice Cream

Ice cream used to basically be one of my favorite foods. Then I got pregnant, and I just didn't even like the sound of it. But it's so good. I love these kind of hot summer days, eating ice cream outside with other people. Anyway, I guess it's OK that I didn't like it. Notice I said didn't. Yep, the truth comes out. I am starting to like ice cream again. Last night I was eating some chocolate brownie and cookie ice cream. After a while, I made a comment that I had eaten a lot. Jacob said, "You sure have." So, I decided that was a good time to stop. Anyway, it's good stuff.

Barefoot in the Grass

One day in December it got warm enough to be barefoot. Now it has snowed for the third time this year. That's ok. Spring will come again.

Sunday Breakfast

Sunday breakfast is usually eaten on the bedroom floor. Of course, we eat the same thing we eat every other morning of the week.

Published

This is an old picture, but the awesome thing about it is that fact that it looks like it's summer. We're supposed to get snow (or ice) again this weekend, and I'm thinking summery thoughts. I guess I've learn to respect winter and appreciate summer even more. This picture makes me want to have a sandwich that was packed for a hike and eat other random picnic food.

Tea Man

Speaking of tea, my man really likes tea. The vanilla chai is his favorite. Sometimes he pretends he's gonna drink something else, but then he says, "You know, I'm really feelin' like vanilla chai today." Honey, when are you not?

Jacob pretty much drinks tea from the time he gets home from work to the time he goes to bed. I'm usually done after one cup, and he makes fun of me for not being a true tea drinker.

My two favorites right now are Strawberry Gourmet and the citrussy one. They are both teas I got at the European store. I like that store because they have an interesting selection of teas for not too expensive.

I was pretty baby sick this morning, so I've been recuperating for a while from that. But, now that things are going better, I should get some things done.

Adios!

I Think We Have a Winner

I hate to say it, but I think the last post gets top win of the century. Please give an applause for...

"TUESDAY"!!!

Thank you, thank you!

Have a blessed day.

Also, as a side note, this tea mug gets first place as coolest tea mug ever. I want to personally thank the person who designed it as well as the other person who owned it who lived in Hannah's house many winter's ago. Because of both of you, along with my mom who ordered one for me, I now own my very own "Just My Type" tea mug. It has served me well for a few years now.

Bunches of Pictures to Bore You or Entertain You, Depending on the Type of Person You Are

Our News Years selfie. Haha!

We took care of our niece for a few days before Christmas. She very much enjoyed the whiteboard.

Some flowers Jacob gave me. It was a really nice surprise because it was the first time he ever gave me a bouquet of flowers.

My new nephew was born! They call him Oliver. I think he's adorable. He was born on Lydia and Micah's birthday, which is pretty special.
(Obviously, I did not take this picture.)

We went home for Christmas, which was so nice. This was the sunrise the first morning.

Mom gave me this butterfly picture for Christmas, and I love it so much. It hangs in our bedroom now.

Jacob gave me this puzzle for Christmas. I was never the puzzle person in our family, but I guess now I am. I have really been enjoying puzzles. We decided to get another one after I finished this one.

Earlier this week or last (I can't remember), I went on a walk and saw these lovely little guys looking so nice in the sun.

I think powerlines are very cool.

On my walk, I stopped to take a rest on a drain. There was a very strange and rare moment when there was no car to be seen on this road, so I had to capture it. It looks so peaceful and calm, but not for long.

Jacob gave me more flowers on New Years Eve.

They really look nice.

This is the new puzzle. It is 1000 pieces and a lot harder.

Since pregnancy sickness, I started to have a hard time enjoying tea (shocker, huh?). The other day I found a couple teas I really like. This one is strawberry black tea from Russia. It is so good.

For many years now, I have thought Ramen noodle soup was unhealthy and boring. However, this baby has changed my life. I add milk to make it creamy and delicious.

I spent the afternoon with Jacob at the mall, which is nice.

On my walk home, the sunset was really pretty, and I was really cold. Haha!

Yep. There you have it.

Snow Again

It snowed again last night, but these pictures are from earlier this week.

The local cemetery.

Our neighborhood

Our woods

Even though I'm not a huge fan of snow, it is fun to get a little in the winter.
