I'm supposed to finish this picture this month. I'm not sure it's going to happen, so I'm frantically making ink sketches to make up for it.

Taliya and I were outside in the yard in deliciously warm weather one day while Jacob had class and studying at school. He called me and told me he was coming home to hang out because the weather was so nice. 

I love the little jonquils in our yard.

Picture Perfect...Not

 

Sometimes I like a scene because it isn't picture perfect. It isn't "aesthetically pleasing" or doesn't fit into "my Instagram grid" (I haven't had Instagram in years, but I remember people posting things and saying they would take it down later because it didn't fit their grid😐). Anyway, sometimes life doesn't fit perfectly into our "grid" or our idea of how things should go. Sometimes you have a messy table, and you just got to see the beauty in it somehow. 

By the way, I'm drinking Aldi brand Chai, and I like it a lot. I add creamer and sugar of course, but the flavor is delish. And, who can resist a Maria cookie? Dip that in the tea...super delish. I keep thinking how crazy it is that I hated black tea so much when I was pregnant, and I'm not looking forward to that part of pregnancy the next time it happens. 

I also got that candle on sale at Aldi (ad for Aldi...haha!), and it smells so good. 

Jacob gave me the colorful flowers, and I picked the daffodils from our neighborhood. 

Well, enough boring you with details of our current messy table.

When we were dating, we used to throw the peace sign to each other when we drove away after a visit. At night when we were going to stop texting for the day (hah! dating, gotta love it), we'd say, "Peace out."

Well, eventually I shortened it to simply a capital V because it looks like two fingers up. 

I guess you probably didn't need to know about that, but I am just explaning what the V at the end of some of my posts means.

Hanging Out With Tali-li and PIANO!

My nephew Addison said Taliya's nickname is Tali-li, which is kind of cute. I usually just call her Taliya, but Jacob sometimes calls her by her nickname. Anyway, we two girls hang out at school sometimes while Jacob is in class. 

There is a really elegant chapel in the school that also has a grand piano. I was able to sneak in one day and play the piano. I haven't played a real piano since October, I guess, when we last visited my parents. It was so nice to play. 

We also came across a ton a crocuses near school. They were so beautiful. 

Sometimes she really is a fun kid to hang out with.
