#1. CA Trip: To Be a Aunt

About 9 months ago I became an aunt for the first time. Johanna was born in mid-February to my brother, Josiah, and sister-in-law, Cindy. On March 1st we left NC to spend the night in GA (we got a really good plane ticket deal that was flying out of Atlanta) . The next morning, we flew to Chicago, and from there to Oakland, CA. We stayed in an Air B 'n B house. The point of the trip was, of course, to see our relatives, especially Johanna, our new niece and grand-daughter.
I will need to do several separate posts, so I will start with day 2 (day 1 wasn't very interesting) .

Day 2
Chicago airport.

Day 3
First we went to the Liangs' house where Josiah and Cindy live with her parents. We wanted to see Johanna as soon as possible.
I had the privilege to be  the first one to hold Johanna.

A very happy Aunt Lydia. I think she held Johanna the most.

Aunties Bethany and Lydia adoring their niece.

Grandma!? Yep, there's my mom holding her first grand-baby.

The beautiful Mama, Cindy.

This is my dad holding the babe.

Cindy and Johanna.

Grandma Liang getting ready to change Johanna's diaper.

Then we gave them a brake of us and went to a nearby park.
The clouds and hills. This area of California had the most rain it's had in about ten years, and we were there for it!

Bethany and Mom walking on the trail.

Lydia in what I think to be a eucalyptus tree. She was a little nervous up there.

Bethany, Mom, Lydia, and Dad walking.

The grass was so green because of all the rain.

A neat flower that I put into a barbed wire fence.

Later in the evening, we went back to the Liangs' for dinner.
Here Lydia is holding Johanna again.

The green blanket was Josiah's when he was a baby.

Grandpa Liang with Johanna.

Josiah, Cindy, and Johanna.

Johanna with her daddy, Josiah.

Have a great day!
