Finally the Beach Trip...Travel Day

Well, it's been about a month, huh? Time really keeps going. Anyway, I'm gonna start on several posts about our Memorial Day beach trip. My grandma has a house on the New Jersey shore, and she invited us and other family (not everyone could make it) up for the holiday. It was fun. This first post has nothing to do with the beach though. It is our travel day. It was a long trip, but we had some fun.

Driving

Cool scenery

Taliya was being so cute as she mimicked Jacob at our hotel.

After IHOP dinner (which was so good; it's one of my favorites), we went to an old canal park.

The grass we were standing on is actually part of the old canal. It crossed the creek down below. I thought it was weird how they crossed water over water, and now its a cool grassy bridge.

Looking out toward the Patomic River.

Still on the grassy canal bridge.

I love water, and this water was so clear and beautiful.

The path along the river was also very pretty. This is Hancock Maryland, in case you ever want to visit. It is a quaint, old town.

It was so peaceful to be out by the river in the evening, especially after a long road trip.

The colors were so vivid. I didn't want to leave.

Taliya had fun eating rocks and stuff.

Jacob and I had fun skipping rocks across the still, clear water.

That sure was nice.
