Best Pictures of the Year

I really enjoy doing this post each year. I actually think about it throughout the year, wondering which picture will win each month.

January
Since this month was all about surviving with a new baby, obviously, Micah had to be the subject of the winner. I always liked this picture. He still had those yellow newborn eyes.

February
This was one of those bad picture months, partly because Taliya was going through a terrible hair stage. But, I do like this one of her on a warmer winter day, wearing the sweater I made her.

March
You knew flower pictures were coming. There were a lot of good pictures to choose from, but I love these hanging blossoms.

April
This month was full of great pictures, but I kind of already knew I was going to choose this picture before I even looked. The St. Louis Arch was so much cooler than I thought it was going to be, and it was kind of awesome to stand under its hugeness. I love my handsome man standing in front of it with our little girl.

May
This was the first of many trips to the creek this year (although, technically, this is one of the ponds at the park).

June
The first time we went camping this year, we found this perfect spot for swimming. It had a rock to jump into its beautifully clear, refreshing water. We went camping only twice because it was very exhausting with the kids.

July
I seriously take way too many pictures because it has been hard to choose what picture to feature for each month. I chose this one because it looks good (that fresh, clear, gurgling water flowing around an enchanted liitle boy), and it tells what we did a lot this summer.

August
Well, this is getting awkward. I think this is all we did in the summer, but I sure loved it. This picture is just so picturesque.

September
Don't be deceived, this is at the creek, too. Goodness, I love that place. I took so many great pictures there. Anyway, I love yellow flowers in late summer. They are so cheery.

October
I love capturing bugs on flowers, and this shiny green fly looked so good with these white wild flowers.

November
This picture is just too cute, and it's so perfectly fally.

December
And finally, the sun sets on another year. I was so happy to capture this picture really quickly while it lasted. It's not the best quality, but I love how Taliya looks like she's in a wilderness or something.

Well, that took long enough.

Happy New Year!!!

  1. I enjoyed your " 2024 Daybook" so to speak. I heard you all got quite a bit of snow...hopefully you have been able to take the little ones out in it. Almost everyone, young or old, enjoys snow play. Don and I went out in the snow and walked yesterday and it was a delight. Blessings❤️

    1. Yes, we did get a lot of snow. We've gone out a little, but unfortunately, I am actually one of those rare people who really doesn't like snow.

  2. Beautiful pictures! I love the way you do this every year. It is a great snap shot of your year which is full of life! That black and white picture of Micah is my favorite.
