Weird

What was I doing that weird face for 2 1/2 years ago? I don't know, but I have always liked this scene of the three of us sitting there.

In my opinion, there are pluses to having a dad who takes pictures all the time.

And much more recent, another picture of us two sisters, but this time the little kid is not my niece but my own dear baby.
Once again, pluses to having a dad with a camera.

Weird how time changes things so much. Not even that much time, just enough to change my life forever.

Comedy

I made a comic strip.

I don't like the cold a whole lot.

Storm

It rained so much yesterday, and then it got sooooo windy in the afternoon/evening.

Our backyard pond.

The sun came out some to shine on those dark clouds. I think it is so cool.

A sky drama.

Our house

The reflection in this big ol' puddle was really nice.

More Random Artifacts.

Everyone loves to draw eyes. They are surprisingly easy and can look quite realistic. I decided to be different. I drew an ear. Wow. 🙄

A new piece of furniture. It isn't done yet.

A very odd piece of crazy bread. (We might have a slight addiction to Little Caesar's. Go ahead, judge us.)

This is the picture I have to finish this month. I started it years ago. I have since finished me and only have one more person to go.

I made up cherry pudding bars yesterday. Maybe I'll add the recipe some day.

Some Random Artifacts

Our messy desk-turned-kitchen-table.

Sometimes she is sort of happy.

The bathroom. (I liked the light coming in through the window [we don't like that window there, but the light is kind of nice].)

Perfect cookies.

Not perfect cookies.

Dead daffodils.

Candle.

Sometimes she is not happy.

Got this from a Cuban restaurant.

Homemade Chai (With the Recipe)

Chai tea from a bag can actually be pretty good. I'm not too snobbish to drink Aldi brand chai; infact, I think I like it better than Bigelow. However, several years ago, our friends starting making chai for us when we went to their house or they came to ours. They had learned how to make it from their Indian friends (so it must be authentic). Eventually, while I was in college, I asked for the recipe after watching them make it many times. I have been making it ever since, and I love it. It's sort of relaxing to make. Sure, it takes longer than a bag (which is why I don't make it every time I have chai), but that seems to be part of what makes it so good. It's rewarding.

Right after the milk is poured in.

A steamy hot cup of beautiful chai.

The recipe. Haha! I don't need it anymore because I've made it so many times, but from the mess, you can see I did use it a few times. Now days I don't exactly measure things perfectly. I tend to use more than it calls for with the spices because I like it strong (or my taste buds have been messed up from always using too much spice). I also add star anise and cinnamon, and I use more sugar. Haha! Oh, one more thing: my friend one time told me she likes to add a bit of ground pepper, so I started doing that when I remember.

I kind of like messy old recipes.

Have some good tea!

Cute Taliya Pictures

This is a weird picture, but I like it because I like hanging out with these two.

Taliya and the mop.

This has nothing to do with Taliya. This was a game night at church last week.

She's wearing my dress from when I was a baby.
