Pictures I Thought Were Cool

 The title says it all.

Who doesn't like a good feet picture?

The little smiley face Lydia gave me.

That was back when there were leaves on the trees, earlier this week.

I like green in fall.

Wow! I like this picture.

I like when the sun shines on the couch. It's randomly welcoming.

This old comb has been such a friend.

Change

 Seasons change

But I keep moving, wondering, breathing, thinking, and living.

And it seems odd that there are flowers blooming in November.

But I'm glad because purple and red go well together.

Up In Flame

It seems the woods went up in flame overnight. Did I say that yesterday, too? Probably, but it don't matter. Thing is, it's true. And it's beautiful. So, yep. We got a bunch of flaming pictures.

Enjoy!

I couldn't not end on this note. What's a tree post without my favorite trees?

Happy Saturday!

"Look at the Sky"

And there was a lot of worry. A lot of people upset about things. A lot of things so wrong. A lot of problems. But, I thought people had forgotten about the beauty of the world we live in. All they could do was watch the news. All they could think about was the election. All they could talk about was America's problems.

And yet, I ran down the hill in capris and a short sleeve T-shirt, the wind blowing in my face, the colors of fall drifting through the crisp air, the golden touch of sunlight slicing shadows across my path, the glory of life crashing against my lungs. I saw life as it is: beautiful. I saw the birds, the sky, the golden stalks of cut corn, the rows of mowed grass, the smile spread across your face.

We are living, moving, breathing, laughing, crying, talking humans made in God's image. So, why can't we go outside and look at the sky and just thank Him for this day? Why do we mope and worry and fight and curse and sulk. We have a world out there.

Hardly There

Hardly there
Hardly awake
Moving through empty air
Looking for day break.

She holds the candle
She stares into the night
She straps her sandal
And holds on tight.

Shivering, cold
Scared, not bold
Wondering afraid
Why was she made?

Hangin' on hard
Slipping through sweat
She's all on guard
Scared of every threat.

But she won't stop
She'll reach that top
She'll get there soon
She'll reach that moon.

Hardly there
Yet almost
Prays a prayer
Near the coast.
