For two seconds they're nicely looking at a book together.

October 16

It's another cold day. Accuweather says it's 53, but I don't believe it. I think they wrote it backwards and meant to say 35.

Well, Jacob and I made it to 3 years. Three years of falling deeper and deeper in love with one another. Every day I feel like my love for Jacob just grows and grows. Sometimes I wonder how people make it to 50 years or more years of marriage without just exploding with love for one another. I am so happy to have such a wonderful and loving husband.

Not everything is easy in marriage. Not everything is easy in life. Everything is so much better with Jacob though. I love having my best friend by my side in life, whether things are well or things are rough. Jacob is one of the best gifts I've been given . Sometimes I remember back when I was first getting to know him, and it's always so crazy to think how we ended up together.

I love you so much, Jacob!

Here are some pictures of us from throughout this year.

It's blurry and black and white, but this will always be one of my favorite pictures of us.

Sometimes blurry pictures just capture the feeling in a picture. Jacob is such a good dad. I love seeing him dance with Taliya.

Sometimes our selfies are awkward, but I still like them.

Well, there we are. Two happy lovers, so blessed to have one another.

October Wild Flowers

It is so cold now. It dipped into the 40's this afternoon after a windy rain cloud blew up. Jacob went to a dentist apointment. The kids are sleeping. I already finished my afternoon tea and cookie. A candle burns with a cozy scent on the table beside me. After checking my friends' blogs, I decided it was time to post some pictures of wild flowers I took on October 1st. It was a lot warmer that day. I'm not a fan of cold, so fall isn't really my favorite season because it means the end of summer. However, October 16, 2021 changed some of my perspective since that was the day we got married.

One thing I do love about fall is the fall wild flowers. On the morning of our wedding, before the sun had even risen, I got up early and drove away from my family's home for the last time as a single woman. Along my way to the church where our wedding was, I stopped by the farm in the morning haze and picked as many wild flowers as I could to be used as bouquets and decorations. That was one of the many "cheap" things I did for our wedding, and it was completely free. I loved the way they looked with the wedding. It was very "me," if you will. Anyway, that's one of the reasons I really love fall flowers.

I love capturing bugs on flowers, and this shiney green fly looked rather picturesque.

Here are some wedding pictures our sister-in-law took.

I think my face is weird in that pictrue, but Jacob looks so good.

Rest in peace, engagement ring. I enjoyed that pretty little ring for about 4 months before it fell off without me noticing, and I never saw it again. : (

You can notice some of the same flowers in our wedding.

The wheat and lavender was actually a contribution from a friend.

Anyway, fall wildflowers are nice. Also, I'll probably do a proper anniversary post tomorrow.

Cute Kids

Taliya enjoying one of her special books (books she can only look at once in a while, under supervision because I don't want her to destroy them like all her other books).

This particular one is extra special because Bethany sent it to us. Also, it was a book from my own childhood.

It's hard to resist those chubby legs and that big smile.

It's really nice to have this balcony for the kids to play on.

Everyone comments on how smiley Micah is.

A Nature Collection

This bee kept landing on a bouquet I was making.

Micah was eating a flower in the background.

A zinnia was growing almost in our house.

Both of the above pictures are from my wild flower buckets.

I planted my cosmos very late, and I didn't really expect anything to grow, but look at that pretty little blossom! I was quite pleased.

I love the big old sycamores that grow by the creek.

Bright yellow late summer flowers.

A little adventure to the Ohio.
