A Certain Sunrise

It was a chili November morning on my way to school. Yes, the long walk across the street. I saw the magnificent colors warming the heavens in the east and continued to watch even in the warm, dim class room.

First the sky is so dark with just the deep red on the bottom.

Then the fire begins to blaze brighter.

Colors dash across the sky.

Like waves of fog dyed with the blood of oranges.

Night runs away as dawn scatters its glory.

The heavens dance above a thousand little things that are lost in the majestic art.

And the sun itself shimmers across the land.

Until it bursts forth and brightens the darkest soul with warmth and cheer.

Hallelujah! It's a brand new day.

That day was about 3 and a half years ago.
