This past weekend, Dad, Mom, and Lydia finally came for a visit. They were very generous and did a lot for us. They brought some nice things, cooked a bunch, got groceries, and helped with Taliya. It was fun. Lydia stayed at our house. I really enjoyed hanging out with her.

Stuff in My Head
1. People don't know how to drive in Knoxville. They do such stupid stuff. Several times I've seen someone in the left turning lane suddenly decide they want to go right! So, they stop traffic in order to do that. There's a lot of dumb stuff like that around here.
2. Being a mom seriously is a 24/7 job. You're on call every night, and being on call means you work. It's great. It's hard, but rewarding.
3. Granola takes a long time to cook.
4. YouTube just notified me about a craft video. I don't care, YouTube.
5. Your hair really does fall out like crazy after having a baby. I thought my hair fell out a lot already. I'm gonna go bald. : ( But I like my hair. Boohoo.
6. Taliya is so cute when she's sleeping.
7. Taliya has a blood curdling scream cry that sounds like she's dying.
8. I have a playlist on Jacob's Spotify. Our music tastes are pretty different, although you might find a few crossovers (Michael W. Smith, Third Day, News Boys). I have Romanian music, Italian, Gaelic, Ceadmon's Call, old Christian music from the '80's, and panpipe.
9. There are lots of uncomfortable things a woman experiences after giving birth. I won't gross you out with the details. Food for your imagination I guess. Haha!
Now for some pictures.

Today marks a year since Jacob asked me to marry him.
I had been anticipating the question for a few months. Of course, he was a trucker and we lived in different states. We didn't see each other much, and time kept on moving.
The weekend of August seventh, I drove to TN for a visit. For some reason, I decided this would probably be the time he would ask me. I met him at his brother's house where he was staying at the time, and he drove me out into the boonies where a simple park was situated on a river.
We walked into the woods and found a nice little place to sit and stick our feet in the water. The air was soft and calm. The sky was quietly covered in a sheet of gray. It was peaceful and beautful. We sat and talked or just sat and watched the water slowly, rythymically move by. I figured this wouldn't be a bad place to propose.
All the while, Jacob was fiddling with some weeds.
Finally, he stood up, so I did, too. Then he said some sweet words, showing his love and dedication to me. Then he quickly got on one knee and asked me to marry him. After I said yes, he asked me which finger the ring was supposed to go on. : )
The ring was weeds.
Saying yes was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love that man more now than I ever could have imagined back then.
He did give me a real ring, by the way, but I lost it a few months later. : ( But, hey, I still have the weed ring. Haha!

The Baby Life
Babies aren't just cute. They poop, and cry, and keep you up half the night. Of course, we're all told about these things, but it's a little different when it's your own reality. My baby eats a lot, too, and that can be tiring. Sometimes she's crying so hard and won't be calmed, and I cry with her.
Being a mom is hard work.
But, with all the other people, I think it's totally worth it. Sometimes I look down on her smiling little face, and I'm so amazed and thankful that this beautiful, adorable, lovely little girl is ours.

Baby Pictures
Taliya eats, sleeps, and whines for more food. She eats all the time. It is tiring. I like to take pictures of her cuteness.

Taliya is Here
I definitely didn't think Taliya would be early, but I really didn't expect her to come on the due date. But, sure enough, early Tuesday morning on July 19th, I went into labor. That was a really rough experience, but it was worth it because now we have a cute little girl hanging out on my lap.

What to Say...
**I started this post a while ago and never posted it. I don't know why I decided to just go ahead and post it anyway. I just wanted to get rid of some drafts.
Speaking of not being an author, I don't know what to write about these days. I can't seem to load my pictures onto the computer (probably has something to do with the internet), so I don't know what else to say.
Well, It's nice and hot here. Our AC doesn't work properly, so we get pretty warm at night, but I got a fan today, so hopefully that works. Eventually, maybe the apartment people will come fix it.
I'm getting pretty big. I'm trying to walk more. I think I started to get a little lazy, maybe because of the heat, which is why I'm starting to walk in the morning now. Anyway, I'm feeling chubby. Sleeping has gotten kind of rough. Right now I'm really trying to just enjoy these days before Taliya comes. I'm really enjoying just hanging out with Jacob a lot.
Speaking of hanging out with Jacob, we've gone on a few little fun trips recently. One day while he was working, he called me up and said we should go to Nashville that night because he had the next day off. I had to cancel a doctor's appointment, but I was excited. We spent one night in a hotel and the next day in Nashville. It was really fun adventuring together.
Update: Our AC works now, and we are feeling very thankful for that. We have also gotten some rain since those very dry days.
We went hiking with Dad, Mom, and Lydia a few weeks ago. It was fun. Here are some pictures Dad sent me from that visit.
